Resident Evil™ 4 joins Leon S. Kennedy six years after his hellish experiences in the biological disaster of Raccoon City. His unmatched resolve caused him to be recruited as an agent reporting directly to the president of the United States. With the experience of multiple missions on his back, Leon is dispatched to rescue the president’s recently kidnapped daughter. The PlayStation 5 version lets you prioritise frame rate or resolution, with support for ray tracing. The game also makes the most of the DualSense wireless controller’s features, using the internal speaker for radio communications, and utilising the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to give weapons an even greater sense of weight and power. Retooled As with the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, it’s now possible to assign weapons to the directional pad and quick-swap between them in the heat of battle. With the right items, you can also create additional ammo – and you’re going to need it. Unique to the Resident Evil 4 remake is the ability to sell key items that are no longer useful for extra pesetas, and the repurposing of the collectible spinel gems as a tradable resource for unique items.
